Brief Description
The Director of Talent Management will have the ability to lead and influence developing employees at Baldor through the strategies that are created and executed across the organization. This role will develop and train employes/HR Business Partners in the areas of career development, the performance management process, coaching for leadership & performance, growth programs, project management implantation. This role will also be responsible for job architecture, role
based competency development, career framework and reward and recognition initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership
development (e.g., succession planning). Oversee L&D Manager to embed and execute
programs across a diverse range of employee population in multiple locations.
- Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide leadership for
Performance Management process development.
- Research and assist in the development of Performance Management training
programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve improvements with priority
organizational concerns.
- Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system,
Including Current Job Descriptions, Standards Of Performance And Performance
evaluation instruments.
- Ensure that organization-wide talent management and PM initiatives are focused
and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee
development efforts.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and
training events.
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure
results.
- Modifieds programs as needed
- Responsible for identifying business specific need and may help in the creation of training material that will help with department specific capability improvement. This role should help with the content creation and build a train the trainer framework that will allow the subject matter experts to lead the training initiatives
- Develop competencies for roles enterprise-wide to enable clear expectations of roles and role requirements
- Design career framework to ensure we have clear pathing for talent
- Design and implement enterprise-wide Reward and Recognition programs
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong L&D knowledge and experience, working with a multifaceted, very diverse employee population
- Has created a training roadmap for an organization from the ground up.
- Strong platform and presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platform and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development
- Managed a training budget.
- Ability to design and implement full-cycle performance management programs.
Education and Experience:
- 10+ years of broad HR experience including talent management
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent
management programs data analytics and relationship management.
- Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports.
Technology Skills: List the essential technical and soft skills required to perform the job

Work Environment:
- Sedentary work under a hybrid schedule – 3 days a week in office.

BALDOR HISTORY:
When Louis Balducci rented a pushcart for $5.00 a week in 1918, little did he know that he was laying the foundations for Baldor Specialty Foods. In 1946, Louis opened a fruit stand called Balducci’s Produce in Greenwich Village that flourished into a beloved specialty food shop. Today, Baldor is the leading importer and distributor of fresh produce and specialty foods in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The company is headed by Kevin’s son, T.J. Murphy, C.E.O.
