Job Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant will work closely and collaborate with the HR Consultants, and provide direct support and assistance to clients. Our new HR Assistant will apply general business knowledge and human resources knowledge to perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations, and the achievement of clients’ goals. This team member plays a key role in the success of the organization by offering information, resources, and guidance to co-workers and client-company leaders, as well as facilitating positive and productive relationships with clients.
Experience & Education Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in business or a closely related field (preferred)
- 4 years of professional work experience
- 2 years of human resources-related experience
Work Location & Schedule
- Fully remote. Nearly all work is performed from incumbent’s home office.
- MUST live/work in one of these states: AZ, NC, NJ or UT.
- 12-20 hours per week.
- Ability to work at least 8 hours per week during regular business hours in order to attend client and team meetings during the workweek (on average 5 meetings per week).
Essential Duties Include:
- Interacts directly with clients via email, phone, or in person to provide support and information on various human resources ("HR") products or services offered by HRAnswers.org.
- Ensures that appropriate, timely actions are taken to provide clients with information to answer their questions, improve their experience with the HRAnswers.org team, and resolve concerns.
- Uses general knowledge of HR, benefits, and payroll to answer client inquiries, provide access to resources or products, or to forwards inquiries to the appropriate HR Answers team members.
- Assists with the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation for clients/client projects.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Answers frequently asked questions from a variety of clients, including job applicants and clients’ employees relative to established/standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR Consultant or HRAnswers.org leadership.
- Assists with periodic audits of clients HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides HR-specific clerical support to assigned clients.
- Participates in client meetings and training activities during regular business hours (Monday through Friday)
- Makes thoughtful recommendations for improving products, programs, and services.
- Prepares reports and resources for coworkers and clients as requested by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
